About me

I have just started a PhD in Explainable AI for Healthcare at the Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI). During the following years, I will design Deep Learning models explainable by design, exploring causal models and counterfactuals. Here, I am supervised by Prof Marc Langheinrich, Dr Martin Gjoreski and Dr Pietro Barbiero.
Last summer, I graduated with an MPhil in Advanced Computer Science at the University of Cambridge. During the MPhil, I have done research in NLP, Graph Neural Network, Explainable AI and Multimodal learning. There, I was supervised by Prof Pietro Liò, Dr Nikola Simidjievski, Dr Pietro Barbiero and Charlotte Magister.

Last year, I have also worked as a Research Intern at MIT, being selected as one of the 30 students in the SGI program. There, I have worked on projects at the intersection between Geometric Processing and Deep Learning, supervised by Dr Peter Chen, Dr Alberto Tono, Silvia Sellàn and Tongzhou Wang.

Previously, I have also worked for a year as a Machine Learning Engineer for Reply. There, I focused on developing ML models to maximize revenue and subscription, reducing customer churn for one of the biggest telecom companies.
